WHY I LOVE CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a time when hope and love are spreading over our lives. There are, certainly, many reasons why I love and enjoy this special time of the year.

One of the reason is because Christmas is time of JOY. My soul and my heart are full of joy and happiness. Indeed, I always was full of joy. I think I was born with this gift to see all good things of life and enjoy them with a great joy. On Christmas, I always feel more and more happy. This is a good reason to wait anxiously for this spiritual time.

The second reason is HOPE. Christmas is a time of hope. If we think that our Lord was born in a misery place, reducing to the human condition - A God in flesh and bones – to bring us hope in eternal life. A God that accepted the human conditions to redeem us from evil and to save us by his grace and mercy.

The other reason is the LIGHT. All surround us is steeped of light, because Christ is the light in our hearts. With him, besides us, we`ll never know darkness and desperation.

Christmas time is also surrounding with soft and tender songs of love and faith. People usually want to help other people. Although crisis, war, desperations, tragedies, disasters and awful news around the world, on Christmas we stop all our worries and think about other people that need us.

These are, some of the many reasons why I love Christmas, and I am so grateful to God for living this period of LOVE AND LIGHT, HOPE AND CHARITY.
